Our selection standard

Show the reason. Show the limits.

Authenticity needs more than a nice label. Here is what earns a product a place, how we talk about evidence, and how editorial assessments differ from member experiences.

THE FIVE QUESTIONS

What does a pick have to answer?

Each recommendation should make its reasoning legible, so you can decide for yourself.

01 / 05

Fit comes first

We define the concern and the routine step before looking at a product. A good product in the wrong routine is still the wrong recommendation.

02 / 05

Formula and claims

We check the published ingredients, directions and the claims a brand makes. A claim needs evidence relevant to the finished product or it stays a claim.

03 / 05

Real use matters

Texture, comfort, reapplication and repeat use belong in a hands-on review. We do not present these as tested until they have actually been observed.

04 / 05

Value is personal

We consider the likely cost of using a product consistently, including how often it needs replacing. More expensive is not automatically better.

05 / 05

Conflicts stay visible

Affiliate links may earn a commission when you buy. They do not change the routine logic; we label paid relationships and keep the core quiz free.

READ THE LABEL

Three states. Three different promises.

We do not turn an idea into a five-star verdict.

Sample shortlist

A concept selected for its routine role. Name, image and price may be illustrative. Demo entries are labelled and do not carry real ratings.

Researched · sources checked

The named reviewer records the evidence checked, the method, limitations and commercial disclosure. This does not imply hands-on testing.

Tested and documented

A dated method, observations, limits and a clear verdict are published. Scores or comparative claims belong here only.

What is true today?

The assessment on each product shows what was checked and what remains unknown. Demo entries have no real product rating. Community ratings appear only from approved member submissions; a saved routine is not verified purchase.

What can you use now?

Match a routine to your concerns, total budget, owned products and effort. Save a real routine to share product experience, and vote on helpful feedback. Use retailer pages to confirm an actual product, ingredients, availability and final price before buying.
